St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church to host 34th annual Greek Festival in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A long-standing Wilmington tradition returns this spring as St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church prepares to host its 34th annual Greek Festival, offering a weekend of food, music, and cultural celebration.

The festival will take place May 15–17 at the church, located at 608 South College Road, with a mix of drive-thru options and in-person festivities.

Hours are scheduled for 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Organizers say the event is an opportunity to share Greek heritage and traditions with the broader Eastern Carolina community. Guests can expect a wide variety of authentic Greek cuisine, along with traditional music and dancing, a lively marketplace, and cooking demonstrations.

Visitors are also invited to take guided tours of the church, offering insight into the Greek Orthodox faith and its history.

Festival organizers emphasize the importance of hospitality, a core value in Greek culture, as they welcome the community back for another year.

“This marks the 34th iteration of our Greek Festival, and we view it as an opportunity to share our beliefs and heritage with the entire region,” organizers said in a statement.

The annual event draws visitors from across southeastern North Carolina and is considered one of the area’s signature cultural festivals.
