My aunt was on track to be an Olympic swimmer about 30 years ago. And then she broke her rotator cuff and her dreams ended. It was HEART WRENCHING. She wasn’t able to recover enough to compete on the world level anymore
I don't live in Jim Thorpe, but I live less than an hour away from it. No theres not a McDonald's there, but there was a café named Muggles Mug that was a Harry Potter themed restaurant that was there before Warner Brothers sued them. It's considered a historic town and is very nice to visit. There's a train ride, a rotary ghost walk, a monument of Jim Thorpe, and the Asa Packer Mansion is down there. I visit every year and the Lehigh Valley Gorge area is beautiful during the fall.

Possible story: The man that owned a funeral home in Nobel, GA. His cremator stopped working so he just kept taking people's money and throwing the bodies in the woods behind the funeral home and giving them ashes he got elsewhere. It is the Tri-State Crematorium Scandal of 2002.
The heart in Greece: it’s old school poetic. I get it, but contemporary minds wouldn’t get it. There are a lot of old school gestures contemporary people today wouldn’t understand.

Everyone got to play except Russia because of Ukraine. I don't support them but I don't think they should be banned. That just makes it worse. China does so much humanitarian wrong but they get to play. And that includes a lot of other people that are not great. They still got to play. That just adds fuel to the fire to me. This is just my personal opinion. It's a world game

I hope for the safety of athletes they don’t ever host the Summer Olympics in Texas because everybody would be having heat strokes! If you’re from a country that is not used to 100°F you will suffer. August and Texas is usually the hottest month which just so happens to be with the Olympics is.
I'm rewatching this, and im noticing that on this one and the more recent ones, whatever filter you're using is driving me nuts. I love Jim Thorpe so much he was an inspiration for not only physical but intellectual excellence! He was on scholarship and went to school, first gen of course. I look up to him for his tenacity and perseverance.
