Dimitris Kokotas has been in a medically induced coma for five months following a health scare on March 28, 2024. His wife provided new details on the singer’s path to recovery.
Speaking on the show Live News, Dimitris Kokotas’ wife mentioned that his condition remains stable. The well-known singer has been moved from the Intensive Care Unit to a High Dependency Unit and seems to respond to painful stimuli.
“Nothing has changed; there is very slight improvement given that he is out of the ICU and is currently in the HDU. He still has no contact with his surroundings, and there hasn’t been any significant change in Dimitris’ movements. Until he wakes up and gets up, he will be under medical supervision,” she said.
She added, “We are waiting because some tests that need to be done have not yet been performed. I’ve been informed that they will be conducted within the month, but I am waiting and hoping for him to pull through.”
Dimitris Kokotas suffered a cardiac arrest and heart attack during rehearsals for J2US, where he was performing alongside Traiana Anania.
