The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), in collaboration with the Greek National Opera, invites students to participate in the “2nd Meeting of Music Schools at the SNFCC,” which will take place from September 2 to 10, 2024, at the SNFCC facilities.
During this event, there will be a week of classes and creative expression, where children will study the musical traditions of Crete, the Eastern Aegean, and Macedonia, along with a Masterclass dedicated to the symphony orchestra. The students will attend sectional rehearsals for various instrument groups (violin, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion) and will also participate in tutti rehearsals.
Upon completion of this meeting, the students and teachers will present a traditional music concert at the SNFCC Agora and a symphonic music concert at the Stavros Niarchos Hall of the Greek National Opera.
