Željko Joksimović, a legend of Serbian music and a great friend of Greece through the years, posted a video, showing his support for the Greek entry this year.
The Serbian composer who represented the country two times in Eurovision, having also competed twice as a composer, spoke in Greek, in a video posted by ERT, the Greek public broadcaster.
“Hi, I’m Željko Joksimović and I send all my love to the Greek people! In the Balkans we may speak different languages, but music is what unites us and makes us one big family. Tonight, in the Grand Final, we’re voting for Greece. From Serbia, Good Luck Greece!”
Serbia failed to qualify for the final for the first time since 2017, while apart from Greece, the only Balkan country present today is Albania.
