Police pulled 700 vehicles over
Some good news, and not so good news, when it comes to the latest RIDE check by police.
NRP officers were out in Niagara Falls and Thorold on Friday night, and stopped about 700 vehicles.
Police say 11 drivers had to give breath samples, two of those had to do a roadside test.
One young/novice driver registered above zero, while another driver registered in the “Alert” range, leading to the driver’s licence suspended for three days.
On a good note, police estimate over 30% of the vehicles were part of ride sharing services such as Uber or Lyft, something the NRP thanks the public for doing in keeping roads safe.
