Audiences will be treated to two evenings featuring a mix of timeless classics from opera, musicals, and operettas, as well as beautiful film scores, popular melodies, and, of course, romantic waltzes, all performed with Rieu’s unique flair. Rieu’s Johann Strauss Orchestra, renowned for its lively performances that transport audiences to a world of music and dance, will accompany him throughout the night. Known for their humor, luxurious costumes, stunning stage sets, and captivating lighting, these musical performances appeal to audiences of all ages. The Athens concerts are part of Rieu’s already sold-out 2025 tour, which will take him across Europe, including Germany, the UK/Ireland, and the Czech Republic, as well as destinations like Bahrain and Malta.
His latest release, “Love is all Around,” is a live recording of his spectacular 2023 open-air concerts at the historic Vrijthof Square in Maastricht. Highlights include the emotional performance of then 15-year-old Emma Kok, who moved audiences with her rendition of the French ESC song “Voilà,” an instant viral hit. Emma Kok will rejoin Maestro Rieu for his 2025 European tour and will be performing in Athens on March 14th and 15th, 2025, at the OAKA.
