Cusses are great in Athens! We have lived in Greece for the last 10 years
I my greeke
Greece is a culinary paradise but if you think that visiting Athens you know anything about Greek cuisine then you are sadly mistaken
What your tour guide didn't tell you is that the Turks took many ancient greek and Byzantine greek recipes that changed their names in the turkish language.
ah, the standard stuff and THEN…..you go to VOLVI! My favorite pita spot! Such a good choice
Greek cuisine is so freaking amazing! THE MOST UNDERRATED CUISINE ON OUR PLANET!!! But it’s not just their food it’s their produce too (fruit is sweet and juicy) plus they make pretty good beers(FIX, ALFA, VOLKAN, VERGINA, MYTHOS, NISSOS, ZEOS, MAMOS) and more….. Whenever I visit Greece I always gain around 8-10 kilos in a few weeks! Greece will definitely be my permanent home when I’m retired! I ❤ Greece!🇬🇷
U mean Pakistan…. Athens is the ugliest capital of Europe.
Those areas in Turkey that he was talking about, were Greek with an indigenous Greek population upto the Greek ethnic cleansing by the Turks in the early 20th century
All this Turkish town, was GREEK towns..
Shelby you are so adorable and sweet. Greetings from Greece!
Let's get it straight…Elgin STOLE them, they are NOT the Elgin Marbles. The sculptures held captive in the British Museum are the PARTHENON Marbles. You cannot change the past; what's done is done. But you CAN do something about the future, you CAN change the present. Do what's right. Return the PARTHENON sculptures to their rightful home. Return the PARTHENON Sculptures to Greece. Reunite Them! “BRING THEM BACK!” Thousands of pieces of Greek antiquities are housed in the British Museum. Our campaign does not ask for the return of those. We ask for the return of the Parthenon sculptures in Greece and the Reunification of the Monument. We, the users of the Internet, obtain power, and we can mobilise the international public opinion. Our goal can be achieved this way. Do you believe this is fair? If yes, help this goal come true. Say your own “BRING THEM BACK!”

Great video
Stupid tour guide. Of all the sweet shops in Greece, you went to a Turkish one!!!!!!!! How stupid do you have to be?!!! Unless you are a Turkish-loving tour guide.
Loved Athens! So many restaurants. So few fast food. That's the way to go! We're going home and bringing that back home and eating more Greek style. So much more healthy.

Concerning the cuisine during Ottoman empire : what we call Turkey was the cosmopolitan Ottoman Empire with many different cultural influences. Many different peoples lived in Anatolia before the 20th century. I bought some old ottoman coins. On those coins Istanbul is called Constantiniye (written with arabic alphabet) not Istanbul. In ottoman palaces there were slaves and cooks from all over the Empire with many different origins. But Turkish nationalists consider everything Ottoman is Turkish and they're good at convincing. I believe it's wrong to give the names of modern nation states to all this common cosmopolitan eastern culture. Concerning Greek cuisine they really do it their way, it's difficult to understand why it's so good. It's not what they cook. It's how they cook it.
That was truly amazing!! Spanakopita right from the source!!! All the food is so delicious looking!! I loved the Kook. What a unique place. I heard they hold high tea there
