Plaka is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Athens and contains some great architecture. There is also a Greek island located in this area called Anafiotika.

Thank you ❤
Went their❤
It really lovely but it does feel weird and awkward walking and passing by other people houses. Is it really okay doing such ?
Was just in Plaka and Anafiotika in Athens shooting content for my vlog series also. Great work.
Ich liebe Plaka!
Ganz Athen ist eine schöne stadt wo man immer wieder etwas neues endecken kann.
That’s Titan Cat at 9:47 in the video. He’s a tourist attraction with a location on google maps lol
Nice woman an intersesting video. Thank you. 🌷
Last September my daughter and I had our first lunch in Athens at Jasmin. Our server was amazing, we just ordered a few things and he brought aperol spritzes and extra mezze which offended me for a second but he made our lunch so much more memorable. We still talk about it! 🥰
I live in London, but I've had a place in Athens for over 30 years just up from Monastiraki, next to Psirri. Now I'm retired, I go there 5 times a year for about a month at a time. Lovely to see you enjoying it too. Winter is a great time to go — I would, however, have chosen some prettier streets in Plaka to film. xx
With reference to properties being maintained & renovated — the trouble is the families are dispersed all over the World. Grandchildren might be living in Australia, the UK, the US – all over & tracking down who owns the houses is almost impossible. Also, of course, it costs a huge amount of money to renovate ! However, after a certain amount of years, the Government are now taking them over.
I really can't stand to see graffiti. Is not art, it's vandalism. The fact that it's allowed to stay on all these buildings somehow, indicates to me, the end of civilization.
With that being said, I'll be staying in plaka pre cruise in October. Thank you for showing the hidden gems. Very much. Looking forward to it.
Great video thx! Do you have some tips or info's about the hidden jams out there? Where to begin? We will be there this summer!
I loved Plaka. Stayed there at the beginning and end of my 6 weeks in Greece at a humble hotel at the top of the street leading away from Hadrians arch. Lots of walks lots of food and of course lots of coffee…I’ve been back in Melbourne 9 days…so many wonderful memories
Allow me to say your interest your will courage and your drive I found them majestic… My question is… Which time do you plan coming back again and which city wil be your choice please??? Thessaloniki or as commonly printed in foreign maps… Salonika maybe???
I have never encountered anyone nongreek with such appreciation for the subtle beauty of Greece. Everyone loves the obvious sunsets, beaches, and even the archaeological sites, but Tiffany you have such amazing curiosity and appreciation for the true flavor of Greece which is not always found in the obvious.
did you manage to get an architect tour around these areas ? i ve heard they are tough to find.
How does one find that little fenced in city wall ruins area?
Views might be lovely, but the interior of the Anafiotika dwellings are totally dreadful. The walk through can also be hazardous as paving is uneven. I used to live many yrs ago in one of the higher up houses during one summer. Not enjoyable, I’m afraid. The whole area is dilapidated. I’d not advise people to visit this particular area, summer or winter. The street with the beautiful Wisteria is called Flessa street and the street leading off has great shops.
That was beautiful. Thanks.
