Panathinaikos was dominant against Panionios on the Round 9 of the Greek Basket League, with Nikos Rogkavopoulos having the game of his life.
After the game, head coach Ergin Ataman was visibly amused. Upon seeing the wet locker room from the incident involving the Greek forward, he joked:
“What happened? I thought this problem only existed at SEF. So it’s raining here too?”
Coach Ergin Ataman kept the mood high by reminding us his great sense of humour and then shifted straight to what matters:
respect for the effort, pride in Nikos Rogkavopoulos’ record-breaking performance, and full focus on the work ahead! 💪Tomorrow, we’re back at it. Same… pic.twitter.com/Itc4rmBHhR

He then praised Rogkavopoulos for his performance.
Rogkavopoulos scored 40 points (13-of-21 from the field) and knocked down 12 three-pointers on 19 attempts in a dominant 110–66 win over Panionios.
With those 12 made threes, Nikos Rogkavopoulos broke the all-time Greek League record previously shared by Bane Prelevic and Shane Heal, who each made 10 three-pointers in a single game.
“Good job. You played a good game. Congratulations Roga on the record. Great record. Congratulations. Also, tomorrow (Monday) you will skip the individual session, because you already did it today. For the others, 15:00 individual, 16:00 group training so we can be ready for Milan. Let’s go!”
Many players of Panathinaikos had been hoping for a day off, but it was not granted. “He didn’t give it…” was reportedly heard from the team.
