Suspilne, Ukraine’s public broadcaster, has revealed the longlist of artists for Vidbir 2025, the national selection process for Eurovision. This announcement underscores Ukraine’s vibrant music scene, with 20 talented acts competing for the chance to represent the nation at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.

These 20 acts were selected from 369 submissions, which included 232 solo performers and 72 bands. The competition now moves to live auditions, where the list will be narrowed to nine finalists. An additional finalist will be chosen through a public online vote among non-finalists.
Tina Karol, Vidbir’s musical producer, praised the originality and creativity of the selected artists, calling them a “new musical showcase” for Ukraine. She also confirmed that several strong entries were disqualified for rule violations, such as prior releases or exceeding the three-minute limit.
Vidbir 2025: Important Dates and Format
The Vidbir 2025 final is set for February and will be broadcast as a televised concert. The winner will be chosen through a combination of jury and audience votes. The public will also select the jury panel via online voting, adding an inclusive element to the process.
Eurovision 2025: A New Chapter
Eurovision 2025 will take place in Basel, Switzerland, marking the contest’s first visit to the German-speaking region of the country. The semi-finals are scheduled for May 13 and 15, with the grand final on May 17 at the St. Jakobshalle arena. Ukraine’s representative will aim to continue the country’s impressive Eurovision legacy.
In 2024, Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil earned third place with their song “Teresa & Maria,” highlighting Ukraine’s consistent success on the Eurovision stage. Vidbir 2025 promises even more unforgettable performances as it celebrates the richness of Ukrainian music.
