Greece has been recognized as the Star Destination for Families at the Travel Bulletin Star Awards 2025 in London, marking a significant acknowledgment from the UK travel industry.

The awards ceremony took place late October and celebrated the country’s appeal to family travelers seeking a mix of safety, culture, gastronomy, authentic hospitality and sustainable experiences.

According to the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the accolade reflects the growing appreciation among UK travel professionals for Greece’s diverse offerings, with the country also shortlisted in the categories of Star Gastronomy Destination and Star LGBTQ+ Friendly Destination.

Travel Bulletin, a leading B2B platform for the UK tourism sector, polls over 30,000 travel agents each year to determine the top destinations, airlines, hotel chains, and other travel service providers based on professional experience and partnerships.

Angela Tzifa, Deputy Head of GNTO’s UK and Ireland office, received the award on behalf of Greece, highlighting the country’s strong positioning among British families planning holidays abroad.

This recognition demonstrates that Greece continues to meet the evolving expectations of family travelers, offering high-quality, safe and memorable experiences across its islands and mainland,” she said.

According to the GNTO, the award highlights Greece’s strategic focus on enhancing its family-friendly tourism offerings while maintaining high standards of service and sustainability. With its combination of cultural richness, welcoming communities, and tailored activities for all ages, Greece continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading European destination for families.
