Tornos News | Under the auspices of GNTO, RedRiver 2025 festival events in Didymoteicho

Award-winning cultural and gastronomic events, which are part of the program of the 16th Didymoteicho Culture & Thematic Tourism Festival “Erythropotamos – RedRiver 2025”, are taking place in the coming months under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization.

These are the “1st Evroinognosia” action, the 4th Balkan Meeting of Cultures and the 2nd Festival of the Tastes of Thrace.

The RedRiver festival is an established international institution for thematic and cultural tourism in the Erythropotamos region, which this year began on August 22 and will conclude on November 30, including events and activities in music, theater, sports, gastronomy, wine tasting, exploration, tours, etc., with many Greek and international participations. The organization aims to promote the Erythropotamos valley as a safe destination that offers a multitude of authentic and experiential activities, as well as to introduce visitors to the place, its people and their culture.

The “Evroinognosia” action is being inaugurated this year in the city of Didymoteicho from August 29 to 31, focusing on local wines and drinks, while at the same time offering the opportunity to amateur producers who want to share their harvest experience to be informed by professionals in the context of special seminars.

The Balkan Meeting of Cultures, awarded at the Tourism Awards 2024, will be held for the fourth year on September 5 in Didymoteicho with the participation of bands from Greece and Balkan countries. Its program includes traditional dance and musical events, which aim to strengthen friendship and exchange experiences between the Balkan peoples.

Finally, the 2nd Festival of Tastes of Thrace will take place between October 3-5, an event that has also been awarded at the Tourism Awards 2025. This is a gastronomic event of an exhibition nature aimed at highlighting local products, businesses and producers, accompanied by tasting and preparation workshops of local recipes.
