What’s worth experiencing this week (January 14–20), from the gastronomic party at CTC, cinema with Timothée Chalamet, and the screening of the award-winning documentary Kai EL kai AL at the Onassis Cultural Centre, to a night out at the new Argentina Social Club bar and ecstatic evenings with Chaïni at Stavros tou Notou.
Gastronomic party at CTC with guest chefs

CTC concludes its super successful 2025 dinner series celebrating its 10th anniversary with a disruptive gastronomic party reminiscent of friends cooking together—but at Michelin level.
On Saturday, January 17, the award-winning Kerameikos restaurant and chef/co-owner Alexandros Tsiotinis present an unexpected, out-of-the-box degustation menu with not one, not two, but five guest creators. Dinos Foteinakis, Christoforos Peskias, Giorgos Kalomparis, Stelios Parliaros, and sommelier Afshin Molavi from Manousakis Winery meet at the same pass for a dinner full of intensity, emotion, and the warmth only a good collaboration can bring.

“Kai EL kai AL”: a documentary on dual belonging at the Onassis Cultural Centre

After a successful festival run in 2025 and awards at events such as the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, Tirana International Film Festival, Chania Film Festival, and Chalkida Greek Documentary Festival, the award-winning documentary Kai EL kai AL by Ilir Tsuko comes to the Small Stage of the Onassis Cultural Centre on Wednesday, January 21 at 21:00.
Denisa Bajraktari, Dimitris Kapouranis, Stefania Costa, and Orestis Skiou narrate their lives as children and grandchildren of Albanian immigrants born and raised in Greece—a dual identity, living fully without the need to choose sides. Tsuko, whose work has been featured in renowned outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian, approaches multiple identities not as a burden but as a compass for the future. A discussion on Greek-Albanian identity follows the screening, ending with a DJ set by Leart Rama.
Timothée plays ping pong

Josh Safdie makes his solo directorial debut with a film that feels like an adrenaline rush: Marty Supreme. Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet) works in his uncle’s shoe store, but inside, he is already a champion: convinced he is destined to become the world’s best ping pong player. The road to glory, however, passes through debts, tough challenges at the table, and a stormy love story that distracts as much as it inspires. Alongside Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, and Tyler, the Creator heighten the intensity in a chase for recognition that doesn’t play it safe. In cinemas from Thursday, January 15.
Argentina Social Club in Gyzi

At Plateia Argeninis in Gyzi, the Argentina Social Club opened at the end of 2025 and has already become the talk of the town: old-school aesthetics (wood, cozy corners, vinyls) with a contemporary vibe. Behind it are Giannis Samaras and Giannis Alexopoulos, together with Stefanos Domatiotis and Alexandra Anagnostou. For foodies, the “game” lasts all day: start with specialty coffee from Create and breakfast bites, continue with bar food for sharing (from burgers and shrimp cocktails to truffle chips), and at night enjoy cocktails honoring the classics, highlighted by a Dry Martini ritual served from a fountain directly into a chilled glass.
