For another year, Nea Anchialos honors the tradition of the vine and the local culinary identity with the organization of the established Wine Festival, which is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 17. This multi-day institution has been established as one of the most important summer events in Magnesia, combining folk entertainment with the promotion of local products, wine and tsipouro.
Specifically, the Wine Festival is organized in the area of the Municipal Community of Nea Anchialos, by A.S. Pyrassos of Nea Anchialos, the Cultural and Sports Association “NEA ANCHIALOS”, and the Association of Oxyote in Thessaly “OXYA”, in collaboration with the Agricultural Cooperative of Nea Anchialos “DIMITRA”. Among other things, the event is accompanied by a series of traditional and folk concerts, cultural activities and local dishes, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the gastronomic wealth of the region in a festive, authentic environment.
Beyond entertainment, the institution of the Wine Festival also functions as a booster for the artistic and cultural life of Nea Anchialos. With the participation of a multitude of artists and visitors, the city is transformed for four days into a core of creative expression, while stimulating its tourist and logistical infrastructure.
