The Mandrakia Artis Festival 2025 returns for the third consecutive year to Milos, inviting residents and visitors to live unique cultural experiences from June 27 to 29, July 18 to 20, as well as August 2 and 23. The picturesque settlement of Mandrakia is transformed this year into a vibrant hub of art and culture, offering a rich program of events and activities for all ages.
This year’s program includes major concerts with beloved artists such as Kostas Makedonas and Pantelis Thalassinos, theatrical performances, film screenings for young and old, animation workshops for children in collaboration with the ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival, interactive games, as well as a traditional celebration dedicated to the musical heritage of Milos.
The heart of the events will beat on the small pier of Mandrakia Bay, where the amphitheatrical layout of the space allows the audience to enjoy the performances with the sea and the authentic architecture as a backdrop, creating a unique connection with the natural landscape.
Mandrakia Artis 2025, an initiative of the Cultural-Landscape Association of Mandrakia of Milos, is constantly evolving, contributing to the emergence of Milos as a cultural destination where tradition, art, and natural environment coexist harmoniously. With the support of local communities and the collaboration of important artistic institutions, the festival consolidates its place on the cultural map of Greece.
The June program begins on Friday, June 27, with the children’s animation workshop “Next to the Wires”, held in collaboration with the ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival. In the evening, the opening ceremony culminates with a concert by Pantelis Thalassinos, who will present his favorite songs as well as classical melodies of Greek music.
On Saturday, June 28, the animation workshop for children continues, while in the evening the film “Peppermint” directed by Kostas Kapakas will be screened, a tender coming-of-age comedy that touches all ages.
On Sunday, June 29, the festival closes its first cycle with the musical tribute “Of the Sea and the Sky”, a performance that combines traditional melodies with contemporary musical creations, through the vocal performances of Mariastella Tzanoudaki and the piano of Takis Farazis.
