Tornos News | Heraklion Cultural and Convention Center: The program for the 2025-26 artistic season was presented


The program for the new 2025-26 artistic season of the Heraklion Cultural and Convention Center was presented today, Wednesday, October 15, in the Concert Hall. The new program, supported by the Region of Crete, was presented by the Artistic Director of PSKI, Conductor Myron Michaelides, in the presence of the Mayor of Heraklion Alexis Kalokairinos and the President of DEPANAL S.A. Konstantinos Varverakis.

The new program of the 2025-2026 Artistic Period includes opera, dance, theater, festive events, tributes, art, traditional and Jazz music, festivals as well as symphonic and chamber music, contemporary and choral music as well as emerging young soloists and finally, evenings dedicated to people and ideas. In this year’s artistic program, five new collaborations with major organizations are inaugurated (Slovenian National Opera, Lecce Opera in Italy, National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens State Orchestra, Thessaloniki State Orchestra) and the relationship of PSKI with the Municipal Regional Theater of Crete is expanded.

At today’s presentation, the Deputy Regional Governor for Culture and Equality Georgia Milaki delivered a speech, while the Deputy Mayor for Culture Rena Papadaki-Skalidi, the Deputy Mayor for Education Antonis Perisynakis, the vice-presidents of DEPANAL S.A. Mara Panagiotaki and Zacharias Kefalogiannis, the heads of the Directorates of DEPANAL S.A., the former president Minas Kapetanakis, the representatives of the Association of Friends of the Cultural Conference Center of Heraklion and the Heraklion businessman Yannis Lempidakis were present.
