Greece is one of the most popular holiday destinations for Norwegians, with demand remaining unabated in recent years. This was confirmed once again at the Network Forum organized by Antor Norway (Association of National Tourist Offices) in the cities of Bergen, Trondheim and Oslo, Norway, 26 to 29.08.2025, where the Greek National Tourist Office Scandinavia Office participated.
The Greek National Tourist Office successfully participated in the three regional workshops, taking advantage of the opportunities to present Greece and strengthen cooperation with the tourism industry for the further promotion and visibility of our country in Norway.
The participants represented the largest travel agents, travel agencies, airlines, DMCs and the Media in Norway, while on the destination side, representatives from the National Tourism Organizations of the Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, Austria, Portugal, Great Britain, Estonia participated, among others.
At the end of the events in Bergen and Oslo, a draw was held with two winners from travel agencies winning a 3-day stay on the islands of Santorini and Poros.
This action is part of the general framework of the Greek National Tourism Organization’s communication strategy for promoting Greece in the global travel industry and strengthening its cooperation with local tour operators.
The promotion of the country as a sustainable and multidisciplinary destination with an emphasis on experiential tourism is relevant to both the Greek National Tourism Organization’s communication strategy and the Greek National Tourism Organization’s communication strategy. as well as the destination profile that the Norwegian travel market is looking for.
