Three important cultural events with an international footprint are to be hosted by Ancient Olympia in June, strengthening its role as a place of artistic meeting and creation. The actions are part of the Municipality’s extroversion and promotion of cultural exchanges, with free admission for the public.

The beginning is made by the Student Youth Choir from Tucson, Arizona (USA), which is visiting Ancient Olympia between June 5–9. As part of its presence, it will give a concert in the Old City Hall square on June 6 at 9:00 PM, with free admission for the public. The event is organized by the Municipality of Ancient Olympia and promises an evening full of vocal harmony and youthful energy.
Dance and art workshops with Odyssey Dance Lab
On June 17 and 18, the Odyssey Dance Lab dance group, founded by Yannis Antoniou and Katerina Kopsida Rodgaard, arrives in Ancient Olympia for a two-day event dedicated to the art of dance.
The program includes:
- Free dance workshops for professional and amateur dancers in the area, at the city’s Indoor Gym.
- Dance performance on June 18 at 9:00 PM, in front of the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Olympia.
The event is part of the Odyssey Dance Lab’s philosophy, which aims to foster cultural exchange between Greece and the United States through education and artistic expression.
European Music Festival with the Grand Haven High School Orchestra – June 21
The musical baton continues on June 21, as part of the European Music Festival, with a concert by the Grand Haven High School Orchestra from the United States. The event will take place on Dumas Street in Ancient Olympia, and the orchestra, consisting of 37 string musicians, will present a rich program of classical music, enhancing the festive atmosphere of the day.
These three events strengthen the profile of Ancient Olympia as a modern cultural destination that honors creation and builds bridges with the international artistic scene, offering unique experiences to both residents and visitors to the area.
