8th Annual Hellenic Arts Festival
Organized and Presented by the Academy of Hellenic Paideia Saturday, May 3 – Sunday, June 15, 2025
Under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece
The Academy of Hellenic Paideia proudly presents the 8th Annual TIMARETE Hellenic Arts Festival, a celebration of Greek culture, art, and heritage. This year’s festival will take place from May 3 to June 15, 2025, featuring a diverse program of film, theater, music, and dance.

The festival aims to promote Hellenic art and culture while contributing to the Academy’s expansion into elementary grades. Additionally, it supports the Hellenic American Project (HAP) at Queens College, CUNY.

DRAMA INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL – Short Film Screenings (with English subtitles)
Saturday, May 3, 2025
- 1st Screening: 4:00 m.
- 2nd Screening: 6:00 m.
- Location: Queens College Library, Lecture Hall 230 (65-30 Kissena Blvd, Flushing, NY 11367)
- Suggested Donation: $20
Attendees will enjoy a curated selection of films at each screening. The Drama International Short Film Festival, based in Drama, Greece, is one of the most prestigious festivals for short films, providing a platform for filmmakers worldwide.

ANNUAL DINNER DANCE
Saturday, May 10, 2025 @ 12:00 p.m.
- Location: Stathakeio Cultural Center (2251 29th Street, Astoria, NY 11105)
- Suggested Donation: Adults $60, Children $30
Guests will enjoy performances of traditional Greek dances by both children and adult troupes, a rich selection of Greek songs, and a buffet of Greek delicacies.
THEATER PERFORMANCE – “Rum Babas” (in Greek language)
Presented by the Academy of Hellenic Paideia’s adult theater workshop “Logos & Praxi”

A vibrant spirit of Greek music comes alive at the Greek Musicians’ Reunion, a cherished gathering that brings together renowned and emerging artists from across Greek diaspora. This unique event serves as a cultural homecoming for musicians, composers, and enthusiasts who share a deep love for the rich musical traditions of Greece—ranging from rebetiko and laiko to contemporary folk, fusion sounds and traditional music.
