PUPOSKY — Tickets will go on sale for the August 22-25 performance of “Hadestown” by the Mask and Rose Theater in Puposky starting July 30.
Featuring a cast of 16, directed by Cate Belleveau and choreographed by Fen Sommerville with musical assistance by Melody Mark, “Hadestown” is a love story based on Greek mythology.
“Anaïs Mitchell’s musical follows the intertwined love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone from Greek mythology, set in a stylized, industrial underworld called Hadestown,” a release said. “It is a work of not only musical ingenuity, but also social critique around climate change and workers’ rights.”
Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Aug. 21-23 and 25, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Aug. 24.
Seating is limited and tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets will be available for purchase at McKenzie Place in Bemidji, 802 Paul Bunyan Drive SE. McKenzie Place is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
