If you’ve always wanted to travel to Greece, but a plane ticket isn’t in the cards right now–don’t worry! Marietta’s iconic Greek Festival is a great way to get a little flavor of Greece, right here in the ATL!
What can festival-goers expect?
This year is the 35th Marietta Greek Festival, and they’ve got tons of fun things to enjoy! Let us break it down for ya.
Food and Drink
Of course, the first thing you’re probably thinking is: what kind of Greek food will the festival have? They’ll have delicious Greek food that’ll transport you right to the coast of Greece!
- Gyro Wrap
Slices of seasoned beef, grilled and wrapped in pita bread, topped with chopped tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. Served with Tzatziki sauce. - Chicken-In-A-Pita
Grilled tender marinated chicken wrapped in pita bread, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Served with Tzatziki sauce. - Smoked Lamb Sandwich
Tender smoked lamb served on a soft roll. Served with Tzatziki sauce. - Souvlaki-on-a-Stick
Succulent pork tenderloin kebabs, marinated, grilled, and served with pita bread - Spanakopita
Spinach and feta cheese pie with a flaky phyllo crust - Dolmades
Ground beef and rice delicately seasoned with onions and herbs, wrapped in grapevine leaves - Keftedes
Greek-style meatballs covered with seasoned tomato sauce - Greek Fries
Hand cut steak fries tossed in Greek seasoning - Baklava
Layer upon layer of buttered phyllo and ground pecans and walnuts with a generous pouring of syrup - Loukoumades
Greek style doughnuts drizzled with honey and dusted with cinnamon
And, of course, delicious Greek alcohol like: Greek beer, Greek wine, Ouzo, Metaxa, Ouzo Lemoni

Activities
Festival-goers will also get to enjoy all kinds of fun things to do during the festival! Most notably, you’ll be able to shop the massive Greek Market at the Agora! You can expect to buy artisan craft like:
- Greek olive oil
- handmade jewelry
- authentically-loomed 100% natural Turkish cotton products
- hand block printed closing and accessories
- variety of Greek Imports
There will also be fun activities for the kiddos like:
- sand art for all ages
- caricature drawings
- face painting and air brush tattoos
- walking animal balloons
- boba squish plush toys
Culture
While you’re at the festival, you can also learn all about Greek culture!
Festival-goers will be able to gaze upon the authentically costumed dancers as they perform in the South’s only Greek amphitheater! There will be several dances you can watch, so see the full line up here!
Be sure to take a guided tour of the Byzantine-style sanctuary to see the beautiful iconography and learn more about the Orthodox faith!
