The Kombos Collective: Kerrytown Concert House
This Hellenic American trio—pianist Michael Malis, baritone Constantine Novotny, and flutist Ellie Falaris Ganelin—explores the themes of displacement and self-discovery in the Greek diaspora through music and poetry. The cornerstone of today’s program is Another Shore, Another Country Malis’s 2024 song cycle setting of the poetry of C.P. Cavafy, the prominent 20th-century Greek poet who lived most of his life in Alexandria, Egypt. Also, arrangements of songs by Greek composers Mikis Theodorakis and Manos Hadjida. 4–6:30 p.m., KCH, 415 N.
