The Hellenic Initiative (THI) has announced its support for the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra’s (GYSO) debut performance at the historic St. Martin-in-the-Fields church in London. The orchestra will be led by its founder and artistic director, Dionysis Grammenos.
The concert program includes Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia, Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2.
Accompanying the orchestra is world-renowned violinist Noah Bendix-Balgley, first concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker, who will perform Mendelssohn’s lyrical Violin Concerto in E minor.
Following acclaimed performances in major venues across Europe and the United States, this concert marks a significant milestone for the GYSO, highlighting the exceptional talent and passion of Greece’s next generation of classical musicians.
