ASTORIA – The Hellenic Cultural Center (HCC), 25-02 Newtown Avenue in Astoria, presents a unique tribute to the iconic poet C.P. Cavafy on Friday, March 28, 8 PM, in the Thespis Theatre, ‘C.P. Cavafy Apekso kai Tragoudista’. The event features music and poetry, namely Cavafy’s poetry set to music, performed by the singers Chrysoula Kechagioglou, Elpida Gad, Rena Vergou, and Babis Koulouras, and the musicians Nikos Apergis, Nikos Roussos, Lena Hatzigeorgiou, Vaggelis Aragiannis, Zannis Maragos, and Sofia Serefoglou, directed by Babis Koulouras, and with narration by Nikoletta Roussou-Kouloura.
The event is part of the celebration of the HCC’s 40th anniversary, 1985-2025.
