The Demos Center (17 Ipitou) of The American College of Greece and the Frances Rich School of Fine and Performing Arts is celebrating democracy through the arts until 31 January. On Monday, January 20, assistant professor Effi Minakoulis will deliver a lecture titled “The Civic Symphony: The Power of Music in Shaping Society,” in which she will explore the profound role of music in fostering democracy and civil connection, starting at 7 p.m. Those attending will hear inspiring musical examples that illustrate these ideas and conclude with a shared singing experience, demonstrating firsthand the unifying power of music with The American College of Greece Community Choir.
