
The world’s most prestigious spa and wellness destinations were honored at the annual World Spa & Wellness Awards 2025, held on Sunday in London, UK.
The event, running alongside the Professional Beauty Awards 2025, recognized excellence in wellness services, treatment innovation, customer care, business leadership, and sustainability. Here are the best spas in the world for 2025 based on their location:
Spa of the Year: Asia & Australasia
Among the night’s biggest winners, Soneva Soul at Soneva Fushi Resort in the Maldives was crowned Spa of the Year: Asia & Australasia.
The resort, known for its seamless integration of wellness with nature, stood out among an impressive lineup of finalists, including Aurora Spa & Bathhouse in Sorrento, Victoria, Australia, Soneva Soul at Soneva Jani Resort in the Maldives, The Imperial Spa in the Indian capital New Delhi, The Spa at The Datai in Langkawi, Malaysia, and TIA Wellness Centre in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Spa of the Year: Europe
In the European category, Farris Bad in Larvik, Norway took home the award for Spa of the Year: Europe, triumphing over other high-end contenders such as Bvlgari Spa in London, Lefay Resort & Spa Dolomiti and Palazzo Fiuggi in Italy, SHA Wellness Clinic in L’Albir Alicante, Spain, and The Purist Retreat & Spa in Trouville, France.
Spa of the Year: Middle East & Africa
The title of Spa of the Year: Middle East & Africa was awarded to Talise Ottoman Spa at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray in Dubai, a luxurious destination that impressed judges with its opulent Turkish hammam experience and state-of-the-art treatments.
The category also featured strong competition from Cinq Mondes Spa in Dubai, LUX* Me Spa in Mauritius, Six Senses Spa Zil Pasyon in Seychelles, Talise Spa at Jumeirah Al Qasr in Dubai, and The Ritz-Carlton Spa Sharq Village in Qatar.
Spa of the Year: North & South America
In the Americas, Golden Door in San Marcos, California, United States, claimed the Spa of the Year: North & South America award, recognized for its holistic approach to wellness and personalized treatments.
Other finalists included three Life in Balance Spa at Miraval Resorts locations—Tuscon, Arizona; Austin, Texas; and Berkshires in Lenox, Massachusetts—as well as The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Boston and Wellness Sanctuary at Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica.
Sustainable Spa of the Year
Sustainability was a key theme on the night, with Lefay Resort & Spa Dolomiti and Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda in Italy jointly winning Sustainable Spa of the Year.
Their commitment to environmental responsibility and innovative energy-efficient practices set them apart from other finalists, which included Hoar Cross Hall in the United Kingdom, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam, and The Spa at The Datai Langkawi in Malaysia.
The Spa at Four Seasons Astir Palace in Athens, Greece, is also among the Sustainable Spa of the Year finalists. Reflecting Greece’s long history of bathing traditions, the spa incorporates an adults-only hydrotherapy zone, an aroma steam grotto, chill showers, a sauna, and hammam facilities, emphasizing the therapeutic benefits of water.
