The Armani yacht, the Greek Cypriot businessman’s new business and the cocktail party in Monaco with Greeks

It’s the ship everyone was talking about. To talk of the town in the cosmopolitan principality of Monaco among businessmen who battled it out to win an invitation. It was officially unveiled last Friday at 6:30 p.m. inside the yacht itself.

The invitation to the Greek businessmen was extended along with the people from Armani by Costas Kleanthous, the successful Greek Cypriot businessman who is now expanding his business into the luxury yachting sector with the addition of two unique yachts bearing the signature of Giorgio Armani.

A Dreamlike Six-Deck Yacht with Armani Casa Furnishings

A six-deck dream yacht, furnished with Armani Casa, featuring a dressing room that recalls an Armani boutique and a master bedroom more luxurious than the presidential suite at the Hotel de Paris. The 72-meter yacht designed by Giorgio Armani himself was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, and we were there.

It was the yacht everyone was talking about – the talk of the town in Monaco’s glamorous principality, among businessmen who fought to secure an invitation. The official presentation took place last Friday at 6:30 p.m. aboard the yacht itself.

Invitations to Greek entrepreneurs were extended jointly by the Armani team and Costas Cleanthous, the successful Greek-Cypriot businessman who is now expanding into luxury yachting with the addition of two exclusive vessels carrying Giorgio Armani’s signature.

The cocktail party had an Italian flair, infused with luxury and sophistication. Hostesses dressed in Armani colors and outfits (the dress code was cocktail glam) welcomed guests with chilled French champagne, while two Italian musicians entertained with classical pieces.

Costas Cleanthous and his wife, Suzanna, had every reason to be delighted, as their active involvement in yachting is yielding excellent results. The Admiral yacht embodies top-tier shipbuilding expertise and the design philosophy of a fashion and design legend.

Among the first to board and congratulate the couple on their new business venture were Monaco residents Alexandra and Nikos Florakis, as well as architects Paris and Simos Liakos, accompanied by Cavo Tagoo’s Soula Liakou.

Also spotted were Veronica Pastra, Emily Vafea, and the Vafeas couple (Haris Vafeas was also a judge at the yacht awards). The striking Veronica Pastra attended with Zannis Frantzeskos.

Entrepreneur Costas Tsouvelekakis enjoyed the sunset by the yacht’s pool while discussing its aesthetics with Paris Liakos, as Suzanna Cleanthous gave a private tour of the yacht to Marietta Chrousala and Leon Patitsas.

Armani on the Seas

Giorgio Armani, a lifelong lover of the sea, envisioned bringing his design philosophy into the world of luxury yachts. The Italian fashion master realized this dream by creating two 72-meter megayachts in exclusive collaboration with the Italian Sea Group.

The result is a harmonious fusion of stylistic complexity, cutting-edge technology, and naval excellence – designed to redefine the standards of high-spec luxury yachts.

The six-deck Armani yacht surpasses private mansions and hotel presidential suites in luxury, offering every amenity of refined living. Bathrooms and corridors are clad in marble, elevators have dual entrances, and the master suite includes a lounge, a leather-covered office, and a dressing room reminiscent of Armani’s Sloane Street boutique, complete with dedicated sections for clothes, shoes, accessories, and jewelry.

The yacht features rare marbles like Black Marquinia and Calacatta, walnut wood, mirrors, custom sculptures, and soothing lighting for a zen-like atmosphere. The dining room, crafted from rare wood, sits next to a refined wine area, while the open-bar deck is perfect for parties. Other highlights include infinity pools, two fireplaces, and a beach club. Interiors use Armani’s signature beige-gray tones, with custom-made Armani Casa furniture, the designer’s initials (G.A.), and coffee table books on his life and work.

The yacht’s upper decks are designed as floating terraces, complete with outdoor lounges and a helipad.

“This megayacht was designed entirely by Armani, and that alone adds huge value. We met Armani during the COVID lockdown, and he gladly told us, ‘I have the time, I will personally work on the interior and exterior design.’ Every detail reflects his personal taste,” said Costas Cleanthous in an interview with Lemon Social Eye.

The construction, delivery, and commercial management are overseen by IYC (International Yacht Company), headquartered in Athens with 15 offices worldwide.
