Returning artists

Erik Segerstedt and Klara Hammarström are not “newbies” at the show!

Erik Segerstedt was boy band’s EMD “E” between 2007-2010 together with his friends Danny Saucedo and Mattias Andreasson. The group reached the bronze medal in Melodifestivalen 2009 with “Baby goodbye”, one point ahead of Måns Zelmerlöw’s “Hope and Glory”! In Melodifestivalen 2013 Erik joined forces with Zelmerlöw and performed his song “Hello goodbye” together with Norwegian Tone Damli, reaching the fifth place in the Second Chance round.

Hammarström has participated in Melodifestivalen on three occasions. She competed in 2020 with the song “Nobody”, which failed to qualify from the semi-finals. In Melodifestivalen 2021 she participated with her song “Beat of Broken Hearts”. Having qualified to the Andra Chansen round, she defeated Efraim Leo’s song and qualified for the grand final of the competition, where she ended up at the sixth place out of twelve finalists with a total score of 74 points. She returned to Melodifestivalen in 2022 with the song “Run to the Hills”. She directly qualified for the final from the fourth heat and placed sixth in the final.
