Supreme Treasurer Monsell Visits Albany & Binghamton Chapters

Over the weekend, Supreme Treasurer Marshall Monsell and AHEPA District 6 Governor Gus Constantine joined the Brothers of Albany Chapter 140 at a Chapter meeting and had the opportunity of presiding over the initiation of two new Brothers.

Monsell praised the Chapter, who held their sixth initiation in the past two years. Albany Chapter President Andrew Chakmakas, a past Supreme Lodge officer of the Sons of Pericles, and his board have continued to thrive and grow the chapter since taking office.

The Supreme Treasurer presented Chapter Vice President Vageli Rantzaklis with an AHEPA bolo tie for his dedication to the Chapter and Order.

In addition to the initiations of George Chakmakas and Tristan Mountanos, they also recognized seven life members with service pins during the visit. Recipients included: Harry Ermides, Tony Hazapis, John Karatzou, Zaharias Karounos, Ted Kondoprias, Jordan Moisides, and John Polydouris. The chapter is looking forward to a very successful 2025-2026 year!

On Saturday, October 18, the Supreme Treasurer was able to join Leonidas Chapter 77 of Binghamton, New York, as they celebrated their centennial anniversary. The anniversary gala took place at The Riverdale in Endwell, New York and AHEPA Family members honored the Chapter’s 100 years of Brotherhood with a delicious dinner and dancing to live Greek and American music.
