ANN ARBOR, MI – St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church hosted its annual Greek Festival, affectionately called the Ya’Ssou Greek Festival, June 6-8 drawing crowds who enjoyed the authentic Greek foods, music, and traditional dancing.
The St. Nicholas community first hosted its Greek Festival in 1973 and the event has become a staple in the area.
Attendees enjoyed live Greek music by the band Enigma and by Kefi along with live dance performances, classic Greek cuisine, homemade pastries, the Agora Marketplace, the Bookstore, and church tours highlighting the church’s Byzantine iconography. A raffle drawing was also held with a trip for two to Greece as the first prize.

The festival is a major fundraiser for the church and also highlights Greek culture and the Greek Orthodox faith to the wider community.
