St. George Greek Orthodox Church hosts 39th annual Greek Festival in Oklahoma City

St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Oklahoma City is gearing up for its annual Greek Festival, with festivities set to begin this weekend!

Festival visitors can experience live dance performances, authentic Greek cuisine, and the bustling Bakaliko marketplace featuring imported goods and groceries.

The food menu includes popular dishes such as gyro, souvlaki, pastitsio, saganaki, and mousaka. Sweet offerings will include baklava, loukoumades, Zorba Sundaes, and other Greek pastries.

Beverage options will feature Greek wines, Alfa beer, ouzo, cognac, and traditional Greek coffee alongside soft drinks and water.

Highlights of the festival include traditional dance shows, church tours, a kids’ zone with family activities, and a wide selection of Greek food and pastries.

Proceeds from the 2025 Greek Festival will benefit Light Christian Academy, a private school in Northeast Oklahoma City that provides full scholarships to children of the incarcerated and to low-income families.

The Greek Festival began as a bake sale at St. George Greek Orthodox Church’s original downtown location and has grown into one of Oklahoma City’s most recognized cultural events.

Today, it serves both as a fundraiser and as an opportunity for the community to experience Greek traditions.
