Sportradar launches iGaming brand Playradar, combining sports data expertise with casino content for global operators – iGamingToday.com

24 March 2026 – Sportradar Group AG (NASDAQ: SRAD), a global sports technology company focused on delivering engaging experiences for sports fans and bettors, has announced the launch of Playradar, a new brand designed to provide a fully integrated ecosystem of cross-vertical gaming experiences for operators worldwide. The launch marks a significant development in the continued evolution of the company’s iGaming division.

As part of this strategic expansion, Sportradar has appointed Edo Haitin, former CEO of Playtech Live, to head its iGaming operations. Haitin brings over two decades of experience spanning iGaming operations, live casino innovation, and executive leadership, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it accelerates growth in this segment.

Playradar will combine Sportradar’s extensive portfolio of live and historical sports data and audiovisual streaming with a wide range of casino products. The result is a suite of proprietary hybrid offerings, including:

  • A 24/7 Live Experience Centre, where players can simultaneously watch live streams and engage in gameplay on a single screen, encouraging real-time interaction and community engagement.
  • Hybrid sports and casino content, integrating live and historical sports events with gaming mechanics to create interactive, event-driven experiences, alongside a live prediction product powered by Sportradar’s data.
  • A comprehensive range of premium iGaming content, including virtual sports, slots, table games, arcade titles, and crash games, all developed with a focus on delivering a high-quality player experience.

Sportradar’s established infrastructure—including its in-house game studio, advanced sports data capabilities, streaming technology, and global distribution network—positions the company to effectively scale its iGaming business. Its marketing and engagement tools, built on detailed player behavior insights across both betting and gaming verticals, further enhance its ability to support operators globally. With many existing clients already active in both sportsbook and casino segments, the expansion into iGaming represents a logical step toward increasing long-term player value.

Playradar will operate exclusively within regulated markets, with a strong emphasis on responsible gaming and integrity across all products. The rollout of new games is planned throughout 2026, beginning with launches in the UK, North America, and Latin America. The portfolio will include a diverse mix of table games, slots, arcade titles, and virtual sports.

Carsten Koerl, Founder and CEO of Sportradar, said:

“iGaming represents a natural and scalable extension of our business, and a strategic acceleration of our long-term growth roadmap. Playradar content is designed to provide optimized cross-sell between the worlds of sport and casinos, helping operators to increase player value and session length at a time when engagement and retention are key to operational sustainability. In Edo, we have an experienced and proven industry leader to drive the business forward, with the support of a passionate and dedicated team.”

Edo Haitin, EVP of iGaming added:

“By combining our unrivalled experience in sports data and live streaming, along with a proven track record of product development, we aim to create hybrid content and gaming experiences to capitalize on the rising popularity of sports casino consumption. We’re uniquely positioned to seamlessly blend live and historical sports events, innovative gaming mechanics, and casino content and have the advantage of being able to distribute games to an already licensed portfolio of operators. I’m incredibly excited to be further strengthening our iGaming business through Playradar and to grow it into a leader in iGaming content, leveraging Sportradar’s existing resources and the highly experienced and skilled team already in place.”
