Interval act

RTVE has invited three guests to serve as interval act for the show tonight. Rigoberta Bandini, Amaral and of course, last year’s Benidorm Fest winners Nebulossa!

Amaral is one of the most famous Spanish rock duos. They have sold more than four million albums worldwide. The band consists of Eva Amaral (vocals) and Juan Aguirre (guitar), who write their songs together. They met in 1992 in Zaragoza and they soon decided to form the duo and to perform their own material. In 1997 they moved to Madrid and signed a deal with EMI. The rest is history…

Rigoberta Bandini is a Spanish musical act as well as the stage name of its frontwoman, singer-songwriter Paula Ribó. The act has won two Premios Odeón and a Goya, among other accolades. In 2022 Rigoberta Bandini participated in Benidorm Fest as a candidate to represent Spain in the 66th Eurovision Song Contest. The entry “Ay mamá” placed first in the second Semi Final of the show but in the final lost the battle with Chanel and her song “SloMo”.

Nebulossa is a Spanish electropop duo from Ondara, consisting of singer María “Mery” Bas (born 29 December 1967) and keyboardist and producer Mark Dasousa (born 5 May 1975). Bas and Dasousa have been married for over 20 years. Together they have two children! They formed in 2018. In 2022, as a trio together with Ophelia Alibrando, they participated in Una voce per San Marino, San Marino’s preselection contest for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, but did not progress past the audition stage. Nebulossa competed in Benidorm Fest 2024, the Spanish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, with the song “Zorra”. They placed first in their semi-final on 30 January 2024, qualifying for the final of the Fest, which they won. Nebulossa then participated on 9 May at the Malmö Arena in the second semi-final, joined by Ana Villa who played percussion with luminous drumsticks. During the grand final, held on 11 May, Nebulossa performed in eighth place, but after adding the votes of the specialized jury and the televote they obtained a total of 30 points, placing 22nd.
