Singer/songwriter Leea Nanos or LeeA is another Australian who is submitting a song for the national final to represent Greece at Eurovision 2025.
Nanos is known for her hit song ‘Set me free!’ and was one of 10 finalists for Eurovision Australia Decides 2019.
She has been singing for 11 years and has appeared on The X Factor in 2016 and was on The Voice Blinds 2021.
She has also written for G-Nat!on, who competed at Eurovision Australia Decides 2022 and has performed, worked and been noticed by people like actor Noah Centineo and singer Jennifer Hudson for a cover she did of hers.
Nanos has done all this by the age 22 all the while without label and in recent times, a manager.
Many Greek fans are wanting her to compete in the national final for Greece.
“To be selected would be a dream come true,” she told Neos Kosmos.
“I love Eurovision and the community it creates.
“To be up on that stage would be life changing and I would be extremely honoured to be surrounded by incredible singers/artists from around the world and to follow my dream.”
Nanos’s father is Greek and her mother is Australian.
She said she hopes to make both countries proud.
“I’m more than happy to represent both countries, being mixed backgrounds I feel very proud of both cultures and countries and the support from both countries means the world,” she said.
“The Greek community is always like family, everyone supports and loves each other.”
Nanos also has a big following on social media, with her TikTok follower count more than half a million, and she said she would love to be a social media influencer.
Currently she’s working on releasing a debut album and has been writing with many high-profile artists and producers, while also enjoying life and being grateful for everyone and everything, particularly her family.
