The Semaphore Greek Festival returns to the Semaphore Foreshore in Adelaide, South Australia, on the weekend of January 18-19, 2025, marking its 44th year of celebration.
This year’s theme, “Oloi Mazi”– meaning “All Together” – captures the essence of Greek village life, where unity and collaboration are the pillars of a strong community.
Organized by the Greek Orthodox Community of the Nativity of Christ, Port Adelaide & Environs, this annual event highlights the richness of Greek culture through its vibrant offerings of food, music, dance, and traditions.
The festival is not only a celebration for the Greek-Australian community but also a welcoming invitation for people of all backgrounds to immerse themselves in Greek culture.
Proceeds from the event will fund local community initiatives, further strengthening bonds across South Australia.
“This year’s theme celebrates the essence of Greek culture – community,” John Douvartzidis, president of the organizing committee, told Neos Kosmos.
“We invite all of South Australia to experience the warmth and togetherness that define our heritage.”
