So Im Asian who is used to strong taste, think Spicy Korean food, Singapore malaysia food, savoury chinese and indian food, sweet and sour thai food etc. I find Greek food quite blend lol. If this triggers you, you need to think of my perspective. Greek food is much less intense flavored than Asian food. I was told that greek food was amazing, that I must try more of their dishes, so yes, i even went to the southern part of the island tried a few seafood restaurants there. Yes the seafood was fresh, but their ways of preparation was also quite simple. I could taste the salt yes, but not much other flavor. So overall, I have yet to be blown away by greek food. Im giving up just yet, im still waiting for a day where i get absolutely blown away by greek food. My favorite greek dish so far is, well, dessert, Paklavas 🙂 (Ok controversial, many countries claim it's their national desserts also)
Just FYI, Greece is my top 5 personal favorite country to visit, Greece is possibly top 2-3 for me in fact lol. But I never had craving for their food, I just eat their food because I need to eat something.
I trust that everyone here is open to different idea and perspectives, so dont come calling me names or "shout" at me. I've been to 100+ countries myself also.
