Restaurant for sale in prince of Wales Road in Norwich


Andreea Pavel opened Carpatina in Prince of Wales Road at the end of September but explained she is struggling to keep it open.

She said: “We have been really struggling to find full-time and qualified members of staff and chefs who can prepare Romanian food.

“I have a young daughter and it has just been too much to juggle.”

The site was transformed into a traditional Romanian eatery in the summer and sells ciorba soup, a type of meatball dish, and succulent sarmale, a type of cabbage roll. 

All of the food is available for dining in and takeaway.

“We have had so many customers from around Norfolk come in to enjoy our food.

“Lots of them are sad to hear we won’t be here for much longer.

“The restaurant is doing really well but it is just too hard to keep it going at the moment.

“It has been very hard.

“We are going to keep it open until it sells.”

The shop was Krasadis Taverna, a Greek restaurant, until it closed down in November 2023 due to the owner’s ill health.

After extensive work to transform it into Carpatina, the restaurant reopened to customers nearly a year later at the end of September.

The eatery is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm.
