Newly sworn-in US ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle will apparently make her debut in the country with a splash, as the one-time Trump adviser and well-known media personality is set to host an invitation-only party at an Athens music hall on Sunday evening.
Guilfoyle, a former public prosecutor and the ex-wife of California governor Gavin Newsom, will assume the duties of America’s top diplomat in Greece on Friday.
The music hall’s lineup is headlined by Konstantinos Argyros, one of the more popular younger generation performers. Guilfoyle was in attendance at one of Argyros’ performances in London earlier this month, during a charity gala organized by The Hellenic Initiative.
According to the site newsit.gr, the invitations for Sunday’s party have been sent directly by the US embassy in Athens as a “welcoming event” for the new and very high-profile US ambassador, listing among others, a dress code of “cocktail attire”.
