Eat, Drink, and Dance Like a Greek at the 2025 Denver Greek Festival
DENVER, Colo., May 8, 2025 — Get ready to celebrate a beloved Mile High tradition as the Denver Greek Festival returns on June 6, 7, and 8, 2025, at the Assumption of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral. One of the longest-running and most vibrant cultural festivals in Colorado, the Denver Greek Festival continues to unite community, heritage, and hospitality in a weekend full of unforgettable experiences.
For six decades, the Denver Greek Festival has brought the sights, sounds, and tastes of Greece to the heart of Denver. What started in 1964 as a humble Greek Bazaar fundraiser has grown into a premier summer celebration, welcoming over 25,000 attendees annually.
Visitors of all ages are invited to indulge in 23 authentic Greek dishes—from savory gyros, pastitsio and spanakopita to sweet baklava and loukoumades—paired with Greek wines, beer, ouzo, and traditional Greek coffee. Experience the rhythm of live bouzouki music and enjoy traditional Greek dance performances by costumed youth from the local Greek community.
New on the menu this year, the festival will feature Greek-style grilled lamb chops, Greek cheese and wine pairings as well as several new specialty cocktails including the Aegean Breeze and Metaxa Brandy cocktails. We’re excited to introduce Pagotini, a phyllo-wrapped ice cream pastry drizzled with baklava syrup.
The expanded Greek Boutique will feature gourmet olive oil as well as handcrafted goods, jewelry, and imports directly from Greece. Guided church tours will offer visitors a chance to explore Byzantine iconography and learn about the history and faith of the Greek Orthodox Church.
One of the most moving and authentic aspects of the Denver Greek Festival is the opportunity to experience the timeless beauty of Greek Orthodox music. The Cathedral Choir will present special performances, offering guests a rare opportunity to hear this sacred music live.
“The Denver Greek Festival is more than a celebration—it’s a living expression of our heritage and community,” said Father Jordan Brown, Presiding Priest at the Assumption Cathedral. “As we celebrate this annual event, we honor our ancestors while sharing the joy of Greek culture with our city.”
The Denver Greek Festival has proudly given back over $55,000 to the community, donating proceeds to local organizations including The Gathering Place, Denver Health, and Bonfils Blood Center. This year the festival will donate a portion of proceeds to the Samaritan House.
