Hello, demigods!
I have not been posting online updates as much these days, and that trend will probably continue as I retreat ever more completely from social media. However, here is a quick re-cap of what is going on with the Riordans.
If you missed the news, Percy Jackson’s newest adventure, WRATH OF THE TRIPLE GODDESS, is now available. Thanks to everyone who made it an instant bestseller! The Percy Jackson series overall is now in its 750th week on the New York Times bestseller list, which is a mind-boggling amount of time. I am forever grateful that you allowed Percy and friends to be part of your lives!
Other news announced during the very short, virtual WRATH tour:

Also now available from RRP, Judy I. Lin, #1 New York Times bestselling author of A Magic Steeped in Poison, ventures into horror in THE DARK BECOMES HER, a sinister tale of the supernatural, sisterhood, and the shadows that rule our darkest desires!

And there’s more to come from the imprint, so stay tuned. Readriordan.com is a great site to bookmark to get the latest news.
FUTURE BOOKS FROM RICK
After so much success and love for THE SUN AND THE STAR, the Nico di Angelo adventure I co-authored with Mark Oshiro, I’m delighted to announce that Mark and I have written a sequel about Will and Nico. This second book came from an impromptu conversation Mark and I had during the Sun and the Star tour, when we started riffing during a mic check about wild adventures Nico and Will might have in the future. One of those ideas was so fun and so absolutely bonkers that we couldn’t NOT write it. I can’t tell you anything else right now — not the title or the subject matter or the release date — but the manuscript is finished, so I would expect more information shortly after the New Year. Hopefully Mark and I will also be able to do a tour, but again, it’s too early to know any details yet.
During the WRATH tour, I also assured fans that yes, I will be writing the third and final ‘Senior Year Adventure’ about Percy Jackson’s quest to get into college, since it would be mean to leave the guy hanging after getting two out of three godly letters of recommendation. That book will NOT be out next year, however, because I have been working on other projects, namely the Nico book I mentioned above and our various television adaptation endeavors, but it will be written as soon as I can get to it.
Are other books in the works from me? Always. I love writing, and it’s not something I ever feel the need to retire from. There is nothing I can announce right now, but a lot is happening behind the scenes.
PJO-TV UPDATE
All is going well on the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians for Disney+. Last week I was on set with Aryan, Walker and Leah for a live telecast with the D23 Brazil conference talking to several thousand Percy fans. Unfortunately we couldn’t be there in person because we are in the middle of filming the season and Vancouver is a looooong way from Brazil, but it was fun to take time out on a Sunday morning and say hello! The photo above shows us on set — an interior of the Big House at Camp Half-Blood with a model chariot track on the table behind us, where Mr. D and Tantalus can admire their fantasy chariot teams and dream of the upcoming races. The footage of the actual chariot races? Oh, wow. It’s pretty incredible, but for now, you’ll have to take my word for it.
I can’t announce anything that hasn’t already been shared, other than to say the cast and crew are working hard to bring you an incredible season. I am so grateful to them all. There are many months of filming yet to do, and then many months of post-production, but having read and weighed in on all the season two scripts, I’m confident this season will be even better, bigger, funnier, faster and wilder than season one. It’s truly exciting watching it all come together! @percyseries on Instagram is the show’s official social media handle, and that’s a great place to go for more updates.
As for other TV projects, as I say so often, there’s nothing I can share right now, but things ARE happening behind the scenes on a number of different fronts. I’ll need to wait until progress is further underway to announce more details. One of the reasons you won’t see me online hardly at all these days is that I am offline, working on a bunch of projects at once which I hope you will enjoy. And really, that’s a better place for me to be.
Until next time, read some good books! I try to keep reviews of my own recent reads on Goodreads (I only review books I enjoy), so you can always check there if you want recommendations or just want to see what I’m reading. Whether or not you celebrate a formal Thanksgiving this month, I hope you find many things for which to be grateful. I know I do!
