Who knows his intentions better than himself?
Over the past year, intense rumors, speculation, and gossip have circulated about the return of Notis Sfakianakis, either to the stage or to recording, after years of self-imposed absence.
Many claimed that the great singer was in talks to reappear in nightlife, and it’s true that if it happened, it would surely be the event of the year. Today, however, an end was put to any such rumors.
For two weeks, Fai Fotou from the show “To Proino” had been trying to reach him, and she succeeded. She met with the singer, and in a rare moment, Notis Sfakianakis responded to the journalist’s initial question, “How are you?”
“Hello my dear! How are you?”, were the words the singer said on camera.
Through a statement on “To Proino,” Notis Sfakianakis definitively shuts down every scenario with a few words:
“I will not return, I don’t like interacting with people who don’t understand me. I didn’t make the songs just for myself, I made them for the world. Now I have no reason to release songs, to address whom?”, he characteristically says.
