Greek singer Dimitris Kokotas has now spent 14 months hospitalised, with no significant improvement in his condition, according to his wife, Katerina Kokota.
Speaking on Monday morning during the Greek TV show Buongiorno, she shared a sombre update, saying there has been “no progress, no communication.”
“This is all very difficult for us,” she said emotionally. “We’re deeply grateful to the people who love and care about Dimitris.”
Kokotas, 56, has remained unresponsive since suffering a heart attack on March 28, 2024, during a rehearsal for the television show Just the 2 of Us (J2US). While his condition is described as stable, his wife confirmed that he has not regained full awareness and only reacts to certain external stimuli.
“His doctors and physiotherapists are giving their all every single day,” she added. “But unfortunately, there has been no improvement in his communication. We’re completing 14 months in the hospital.”
Dimitris Kokotas, known for his distinctive voice and popular hits in the Greek music scene, has received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists throughout his health battle.
