Nightshift Winter Festival Takes Over Wunderlich Lane

Pizzetta parties, heady Greek feasts, music trivia with Myf Warhurst and Zan Rowe, late-night jazz and art sessions take over the Redfern precinct as part of the debut winter festival.

The reimagined patch of Redfern – Wunderlich Lane, at the junction of Cleveland and Baptist streets – has been a bustling hit since it opened in late 2024. A clutch of dining venues that work together seamlessly surrounding flash new hotel The Eve. And for its first winter, the teams are getting together for Nightshift, a seven-day festival.

Opening night takes over Olympus, the open-air Greek restaurant surrounding an impressive bougainvillea. From 6.30pm there’s an all-out party inspired by Haloa, the abundant Greek midwinter festival. Expect a set-menu feast, roving art performances and live instrumental sets by band GODTET.

Baptist Street Rec Club is hosting an extra-special music trivia – hosted by none other than Myf Warhurst and Zan Rowe. There’ll be deep cuts, DJs and hits from the Thai pub menu. The Post-Work Pizzetta Party brings soon-to-open S’Wich together with Regina La Pizzeria for a two-night woodfired sanga special, and there’ll be late-night jazz sessions at Bar Julius that you can scuttle to afterwards.

There’s a nose-to-tail dinner at R by Raita Noda, special scoops from Messina, noodle discos, live music pop-ups and shopping events (with mulled wine) included on the full program.

Bookings to all events recommended.

Nightshift hits Wunderlich Lane from Monday June 16 to Sunday June 22, 2025.
