New Music From Theo Evan, Katerine Duska, Eleni Foureira and more

The Eurovision 2025 season is now in full swing and no doubt fans will have the songs from this year’s contest on repeat until we crown a winner in May. But that doesn’t mean we forget about the artists from past contests – they’re still bringing us a lot of new music to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 15

Theo Evan & Demy – “Diafanis”

The Eurovision: A Little Bit More series allows this year’s acts to share something extra with fans beyond their contest entry. Cyprus’ Theo Evan decided to take this an extra step and drop something a little bit new. The singer has teamed up with Greece’s Eurovision 2018 representative, Demy, for the brand new single “Diafanis.”

This is the first Greek-language song Theo Evan has released. It takes the form of an emotional ballad.

Achille Lauro & chiello – “Succo d’ananas”

Italian singer and rapper, chiello, shared his new studio album this week. Amongst the track list is “Succo d’ananas” (“Pineapple juice”), which features additional vocals from San Marino’s Eurovision 2022 star, Achille Lauro. It’s a a spirited pop-rock offering with a whistle motif that listeners can quickly pick up.

Lyrically, the pair are trying to avoid falling into old habits: “Tonight I don’t feel like it / I said: ‘I won’t do it anymore’ / Enough for today / Tonight only pineapple juice.”

Katerine Duska & Eleni Fourieira – “Burnout”

Another Eurovision collaboration comes courtesy of Katerine Duska (Greece 2019) and Eleni Foureira (Cyprus 2018). Many fans have probably imagined what a collaboration between these two stars would sound like — but house music may not have been the most common answer.

In the lyrics, Duska and Foureira sing about the anxiety they and their fellow millennials have had to deal with. They feel a sense of despair when looking at the state of current affairs: “My generation is gonna burn out / Too many reasons for going down […] If you ain’t got no motivation / How’d you know your worth?”

Little Big – “HARDCORE AMERICAN COWBOY”

Little Big’s Ilya and Sonya have been living in the United States since 2022. They’ve now embraced the American lifestyle and have become fully fledged “HARDCORE AMERICAN COWBOYS.” Russia’s Eurovision 2020 entrants combine their rave style with country influences for a thumping two and a half minutes. The accompanying music video features cameos from Lil Texas and RomancePlanet.

Anouk – Set This Thing On Fire

Following a trio of teaser tracks so far this year, Anouk has now dropped her new studio album. Set This Thing On Fire sees the Dutch singer return to her rock roots. The ten songs incorporate thrilling guitar lines and dynamic drum beats to create an exciting soundscape that the Eurovision 2013 star uses to reaffirm her identity.

Soraya & Pastora Soler – “El juego de la vida”

Our third Eurovision collaboration of the week comes from two Spanish icons. The country’s 2009 and 2012 representatives join forces for “El juego de la vida” (“The game of life”). A spirited mid-tempo track, Soraya and Pastora Soler reflect on the truth of living after both being in the music industry for several decades. They encourage us all to fight for our place in the world: “There’s always a way out / Don’t give up on battles / Don’t let them tell you what to dream / Or who to love / That’s the game of life.”

VLADA K feat. KALUSH – “Диваки”

Ukrainian children’s singer VLADA K is celebrating the “Диваки” (“Weirdos”) with her new single. She hopes to encourage her generation to remain themselves rather than trying to fit in and become like everyone else.

To add some extra dynamism to the song, VLADA K has invited Eurovision 2022 winner KALUSH to provide a rap verse: “I don’t go where the harvest is / I plant fruits where they haven’t been sown / I will get there where the miracle is / While they are thinking whether it is possible / It will be stupid to pass by stupidly / I will get where I want to go.”

Besa & Martin Hoxha – “Maria”

Blondie’s “Maria” was a hit all across Europe in 1999. Now, Albanian music producer Martin Hoxha is revamping the song with a fresh alternative that incorporates electronic dance beats. The DJ has brought Eurovision 2024 participant Besa on board to provide vocals for the cover.

Brunette – “LOVE REVERSED”

“This story is a reminder: if you are living trough abuse, don’t stay silent. If you witness or experience abuse, call the domestic violence prevention hotline in your country.”

Those are the words of Brunette in the description of her new music video. Armenia’s Eurovision 2023 star delivers a powerful song with intense feelings behind it. She explores how difficult it can be to escape from abusive relationships, but also how freeing it is once that chain is finally broken: “You left my heart on my rocky path / I stayed alone / I cried so much that I faded away / My tears dried up and I was left alone again / More than pain / I won’t give you pain, I won’t give you pain, I’ve come to give you back the pain you gave me.”

Miki Núñez & Lildami feat. Black Music Big Band – “EL CAMÍ”

Miki Núñez is enjoying life’s journey and not worrying too much about the destination. Spain’s Eurovision 2019 star has come together with fellow Catalan artist Lildami for the bright and cheerful song “EL CAMÍ” (“The Path”). The duo are joined by the Black Music Big Band to give the song a splash of jazz and funk.

The lyrics see Miki and Lildami focusing on the route that is right in front of them: “If the path seems slow to me, it’s because I’m going against the flow / I’m not in a hurry, I’m walking and I don’t have to run / I know that my best successes came unintentionally / I gave it my all when no one gave me anything.”

Carola – Via Dolorosa, Maria Magdalenas kärlek

Carola is celebrating Easter with a full studio album about the Christian holiday. Over the course of 15 songs, Sweden’s Eurovision 1991 champion journeys from Palm Sunday to the Ascension of Christ before Pentecost. Via Dolorosa, Maria Magdalenas kärlek (Way of Sorrow, The love of Mary Magdalene) was created alongside Norwegian record producer Erik Hillestad.

Trijntje Oosterhuis – “Oogopslag”

Trijntje Oosterhuis’s father passed away on Easter Sunday in 2023. Huub Oosterhuis was a theologian and poet, and left behind many written pieces that can act as memories. Together with her brother, Tjeerd, Trijntje aims to share a musical interpretation of her father’s work every year at Easter.

The Eurovision 2015 alumna has this year released “Oogopslag” (“Glance”). It’s a soft ballad, with the Dutch singer accompanied by piano and cello.

Remo Forrer – Smalltown Boy Deluxe

In February, Remo Forrer released the EP Smalltown Boy. Now, the Swiss singer has shared a deluxe version with two brand new songs — “Not Ready To Love Me” and “Burning Bridges.” There are also two live recordings of Remo’s previous hits, including his Eurovision 2023 song “Watergun.”

ISAAK – would i be yours?

This is ISAAK’s first ever EP. Titled would i be yours?, there are five songs on the record, including recent single “i don’t know.” Germany’s Eurovision 2024 representative brings us a series of indie ballads, many of which have an acoustic quality to them owing to their stripped-back instrumental accompaniment. ISAAK aims to give us all the feels as he sings over piano and guitar melodies.

3JS – “Dit Is Zo’n Dag”

Spring is in full bloom across Europe. Dutch trio 3JS are eager to celebrate the brightening skies and warming temperatures, so have released the cheery number “Dit Is Zo’n Dag” (“This Is Such A Day”). Despite the breeze, you won’t find anyone in the accompanying music video who doesn’t have a smile on their face as they enjoy some spring sunshine.

Sebalter – “1995”

Sebalter is heading back 30 years to “1995.” Switzerland’s Eurovision 2014 representative was ten years old at that moment, and he’s reminiscing about the feeling of freedom he had at the time: “We smiled at the camera / We smiled at those endless days / That were all we had / So take me back to ’95 / When we were young.” Musically, this new song is another upbeat folk pop offering from the fiddler that will quickly put a smile on your face.

Sinplus – “Crossfire”

The fourth instalment of Sinplus’ latest musical project is “Crossfire.” A steady alternative-rock song, Switzerland’s Eurovision 2012 duo want to fully embrace a bubbling connection: “Can you save me / Like some kind’a messiah / It could take / My whole life to deny you.”

In a press release, the brothers explained the song as follows:

“Crossfire is about losing yourself in someone else. The emotional turbulence of love, obsession and vulnerability. It takes you on a journey through the push-and-pull of a relationship that’s as overwhelming as it is all-consuming.”

Hooverphonic & Barbara Dex – “Someone Like You”

Belgian TV show Liefde voor Muziek continues for another week. Episode three was centred around Eurovision 1993 participant Barbara Dex, with all other acts performing covers of her songs. As Eurovision alumni themselves from 2021, Hooverphonic decided to cover Barbara’s own entry for the contest, “Iemand als jij.” The band performed the English version, “Someone Like You,” and gave it a dark melodic twist.

Barbara Dex didn’t miss out completely, as she was able to do a tribute cover. She decided to give a performance of “Diep in mij” — originally released by Yasmine.

Connect-R, Smiley & Alex Velea – “Nu mă ierta”

Many artists use their songs as declarations of love, hoping that a certain individual will reciprocate their feelings. But in a change from this, Connect-R uses his latest single to tell someone not to love him. The Eurovision 2006 rapper teams up with Smiley and Alex Velea for the emotional offering, “Nu mă ierta” (“Don’t Forgive Me”).

The trio are ready to face the consequences of all the errors they’ve made in their relationship: “Don’t forgive me / Don’t let me always be your mistake / To love me / I wouldn’t deserve it / Even if it wants to / Your heart, don’t listen to it.”

Joost & Donnie – “Boerenland”

It’s time to head to the Dutch “Boerenland” (“Countryside”). Eurovision 2024 star Joost is travelling there with rapper Donnie. The pair get the gabber dance beats going as they reaffirm that, even if they’re touring all across the world, they’ll always find time to return to where it all started: “Because I am and will remain Dutch / Back to the countryside / Just to the pub, a little musical chairs (Where are we going?) / Back to the countryside (Let’s go, let’s go) / It can never be normal, I’m going really fast again.”

Ronela Hajati & Eli Malaj – “DASHNI E FUNDIT”

“Unfortunately, when our hearts are broken, the most beautiful songs are created.” — Ronela Hajati’s new song comes from a place of hurt. Albania’s Eurovision 2022 star shares her feelings in “DASHNI E FUNDIT” (“Last Love”), a duet alongside Eli Malaj.

The two singers discuss note that their ex-partner has taken so much from them that they don’t think they’ll ever be able to love again: “You took my dreams, you killed my hopes / There is no one better than you, liar / How much I loved you, God knows / No one has done me like you, no one, no one, no one […] There is no more for me, last love.”

Anxhela Peristeri feat. Eli Malaj – “Sonte”

Ronela isn’t the only Eurovision act that Eli Malaj has collaborated with recently. The Albanian singer has also released “Sonte” (“Tonight”) with 2021 participant Anxhela Peristeri.

Musically, this duet is more upbeat and aims to get the evening party going. However, the lyrical inspiration of the song comes from a very similar place, with Peristeri and Malaj prioritising friendship over love: “Tonight I want to go out and drink / And enjoy myself with friends / I don’t need love / Nor lies.”

Jala Brat, Buba Corelli & Klijent – “Dumdum”

Eurovision 2016 participant Jala Brat is a long-time collaborator with Buba Corelli. But now there’s a third rapper in the mix, as the pair have teamed up with Klijent for the new Balkan trap single “Dumdum.” In the lyrics, the trio don’t leave anything to the imagination: “Gun loaded — dum, dum, ammunition / Nothing matters, when the street calls her back / Mommy is destroying everything like tsunami / She’s killin’ it when she sways, she kills me, rocks me / I am inside you like Rocky inside Rihanna.”

ByeAlex & KKevin – “PÓLÓ”

Hungarian rapper KKevin recently dropped a new EP, titled PRIOITÁS. Whilst five of the six tracks are solo songs, there is one collaboration in the mix. This is with Eurovision 2013 alum ByeAlex. “PÓLÓ” is a mid-tempo hip-hop offering in which ByeAlex contributes the chorus: “150 thousand / My t-shirt costs exactly that much / If I put it on once / I’m sure it’ll fly after / I’ll run faster, of course you can try / I’m not a believer, but someone up there loves me.”

Baby Lasagna & KUKU$ – “Bam Bam Bira”

From “Rim tim tagi dim” to “Bam bam bira,” Baby Lasagna is ready to get all of Europe singing more nonsensical lyrics. The Eurovision 2024 runner-up has recently joined forces with Croatian trap group KUKU$ for a track that gets you bouncing from start to finish. The Balkan artists take inspiration from their home and highlight their Slavic nature: “Rim tim tagi dim with real Slavs / Big hit now, the crowd it screams loud / Let me tell you something about / Bam bam bira bam and I’m out.”

Nadav Guedj – “משוגע”

Nadav Guedj shot to fame at 16 years old as Israel’s Eurovision 2015 “Golden Boy.” But during the decade that’s followed, the singer has gone through major challenges. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder, Nadav has been hospitalised multiple times over the last five years, with an ambulance even called to the set of a film he was recording.

The Eurovision alum is now opening up about his experiences with the song “משוגע” (“Crazy”), in which he sings: “All this distance has made me crazy / The pills no longer help me relax / Doing everything too much, it closes on me / And everything that kills makes me feel alive again.” Although the lyrics may be deeply personal, Guedj is making sure listeners don’t get too sad when listening to the song — it’s got a very catchy beat running throughout.

Marcel Pavel – “Sus pe cruce”

Marcel Pavel is honouring the Easter period with the new song “Sus pe cruce” (“Up on the cross”). Romania’s Eurovision 2002 performer delivers a rousing ballad with orchestral accompaniment. The singer describes it as “a call to light.”

Natalia Barbu – “Flori de Liliac”

“Flori de Liliac” (“Lilia Flowers”) is a popular folk song originally released by Ana Barbu. Now, the singer’s daughter — two-time Eurovision entrant Natalia Barbu — has recorded her own version. Natalia has performed the song at various concerts over the years, but this is the first time she’s officially gone into the studio and laid her vocals down on the track.

Slovenia’s Eurovision 2021 representative, Ana Soklič, has collaborated with violinist Peter Ugrin and the group SOUL cast. Together, they’ve crafted the new EP, Emporia. There are three songs on the record, all in the artists’ native language. The first two provide a more upbeat and jazzy feel, whilst the final track is a slower tempo ballad.
