If your 20-something tries to warn you off going to Mykonos on the grounds the island is dedicated to 24-hour party animals, in my opinion, you can safely ignore them.
Indeed, it is quite possible to avoid even beach bars on the island, despite its legendary reputation as a hedonist’s mecca, or Greece’s answer to Ibiza.
