More rain and storms are in store for Greece, especially in Thessaly, the southern Aegean islands, Sporades, north Evia, Cyclades and Dodecanese islands in the morning of Tuesday, according to Greece’s national weather service (EMY).
More storms and rain for Greece today
Weather in the west of Greece will be improved with some local showers. The rest of the mainland from the south of Thessaly will have intermittent clouds and local showers as well.
For the Aegean and Crete, periodic storms will impact coastal areas and the seas around the islands.
During the morning hours on Tuesday, the weather phenomena around Thessaly, the southern Aegean, Sporades, north Evia, Cyclades and Dodecanese are expected to be strong.
Due to the significant damage caused on the island of Rhodes and Limnos on Sunday on account of storm Bora, schools in the south Aegean remain closed today.
Winds will blow north northeast between 3-4 Beaufort in the west and 6 in the Aegean. Temperatures in the north of Greece will be between 12-13 degrees Celsius, in the west 16-17 degrees, 14-16 in the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese 17-18 degrees Celsius.
Attiki will be cloudy with local showers until the late afternoon. Winds will blow north northeast 3-5 Beaufort and temperatures will be between 11-16 degrees.
Thessaloniki will have clouds and local rains, winds 2-4 Beaufort and temperatures from 7-13 degrees.
