The Modern Conservatory of Thessaloniki celebrates 40 years of operation and contribution to the city’s art and culture, and the Friends of S.O.TH. Association is organizing a grand anniversary concert on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Moni Lazariston. The event will explore the wonderful musical world of the acclaimed composer Giorgos Kazantzis, with the aim of supporting the meaningful work of Doctors of the World.
On stage, distinguished artists who share musical paths with the composer will perform a selection of his works, including “Melisses” (Bees), “Itane aeras” (It was the wind), “Cheimonanthos” (Winter blossom), “Katarri kai Atmos” (Soot and Steam), “Sta misa tou erota vgeinei o dolofonos” (The murderer comes out in the middle of love), and many other songs that left their mark on the Greek music scene and defined moments and careers.
Pantelis Thalassinos, Eleni Tsaligopoulou, Fotini Velesiotou, Dimitris Bakoulis, Giorgos Chouvardas, and Eleni Dimopoulou will transport the Thessaloniki audience into the unmatched art of Giorgos Kazantzis, accompanied by the Modern Conservatory of Thessaloniki Orchestra and Choir, as well as select and distinguished musicians.

The Friends of S.O.TH. Association, driven by a strong sense of social responsibility, has set as a fundamental goal of this celebratory concert the tangible support of Doctors of the World’s work. Their notable actions extend beyond medical care, as they openly oppose barriers to access to health, stand against human rights violations, and advocate for human dignity, always relying on medical expertise.
