After captivating global audiences with ZARI at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in 2024, Marina Satti joins forces with Spotify for the “Spotify Singles meets Eurovision Song Contest” series. Alongside Switzerland’s Nemo, Sweden’s Loreen, Poland’s BABIE LATO, and Germany’s ENNIO, Satti introduces the first Greek Spotify Single, FOVAME.
This reimagined version of Portugal’s 2022 entry SAUDADE, SAUDADE by Maro, with Greek lyrics by Stathis Drogosis, transforms the atmospheric ballad into a lyrical ode to love’s bittersweet essence.
As the 69th Eurovision Song Contest approaches in Basel, Switzerland, Spotify celebrates the “United by Music” spirit by uniting five iconic European artists. Each has reinterpreted a past Eurovision hit for exclusive streaming: Satti’s FOVAME, Nemo’s take on Lena’s SATELLITE (Germany, 2010), Loreen’s rendition of Duncan Laurence’s ARCADE (Netherlands, 2019), BABIE LATO’s cover of Loreen’s TATTOO (Sweden, 2023), and ENNIO’s revival of Katja Ebstein’s WUNDER GIBT ES IMMER WIEDER (Germany, 1970).
Federica Tremolada, Spotify’s General Manager Europe, stated, “The Eurovision Song Contest unites Europe through music and culture. Our Spotify Singles series showcases its lasting impact by connecting artists across countries and generations, amplifying European talent and culture.”
In 2024, Satti achieved remarkable milestones:
- No. 1 Spotify Artist in Greece with over 1.5 million monthly listeners.
- First female artist to top Spotify’s Daily Top Artists Greece chart.
- First artist to claim the top three spots on Spotify’s Top 200 Greece (ZARI, MIXTAPE, LALALALA).
- ZARI became the first Greek-lyric song to hit #17 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart, charting in over 30 countries.
- Her EP POP ranked 8th on Spotify’s global Top 10 Debut Albums.
Satti’s FOVAME, part of Spotify Singles’ exclusive catalog with over 10 billion streams, carries Mediterranean vibes and Greek lyrics to 45 global markets, cementing her as a trailblazer ahead of Eurovision 2025 and her upcoming album POP TOO.
