RTL released moments ago all seven songs that are going to claim, in the final of the Luxembourg Song Contest – LSC, the golden ticket, for Basel and Eurovision 2025!
The 7 songs!
The songs were selected by the LSC 2025 International Jury, consisting of Diogo Fernandes, Poli Genova, Niamh Kavanagh, Marie Myriam and Eldar Gasimov.
- Laura Thorn – “La Poupée Monte Le Son”
Laura Thorn is a new face to be seen in this year’s Grand Duchy National Final. She is a music teacher at the Escher Conservatory, plays piano and cello and has a master’s degree in pop music, solfège and medical pedagogy!
“La Poupée Monte Le Son” is the result of a unique collaboration between Laura Thorn and Parisian creators Julien Salvia & Ludovic-Alexandre Vidal, sparked through a Belgian connection! The song nods to France Gall’s Eurovision-winning “Poupée de Cire, Poupée de Son”, 60 years later.
“I was excited about this project in homage to France Gall – especially since it is a totally different style from what I usually sing. I really enjoy playing with the irony and provocation that are the basis of the song!”

- One Last Time – “Gambler’s Song”
One Last Time are known from the Luxembourg Song Contest 2024, where they competed with “Devil In The Detail”. The band consists of Andrea Galleti, Jonathan Fersino, Barbara Salvi, Tom Sagramola and Alessandro Sorbello. The motto of their participation this year? “One more time, One Last Time”.
“Gambler’s Song” comes from the pen of Andrea Galleti and Jonathan Fersino, with the help of Swede Albin H. Fredy Ljungqvist. The song was written at a Songcamp in Belgium and it’s produced by Samuel William Peter Ray.
“Gambler’s Song is a piece about our experiences, full of hope and motivation – on which we bet everything to win our ticket to Basel!”
One Last Time
Luzac, although a professional educator, discovered his love for music young, learning the violin and loving the urban pop music scene. After the debut of his first single, “J’y arriverai” , in 2021, he focused on his solo career. He writes, sings and composes his own songs and is currently working on his first album.
“Je danse” comes from the first ESC-Songwriting Camp, organised by Rockhal and Rocklab in September this year. This eclectic team includes Norway’s Linda Dale (Writer of Eurovision 2024 winner The Code by Nemo) and the Dutch co-organiser of the camp, Alireza Baghdadchi, on the production front. Not to mention another well-known face to the Luxembourg public, also a finalist of the LSC 2024: Edsun, who thus extends his Eurovision adventure as a songwriter alongside Luzac.
“Je danse takes me out of my comfort zone, it’s a very strong new experience!”
- Rhythmic Soulwave – “Stronger”
Rhythmic Soulwave is a six-piece band, bringing together different backgrounds and influences! The band members are Mael Fontana, Leopold Strauß, Angela Aguilera Caballero, Diego Lucero, Zakar Lörinc and lead singer Carmen Carbonnell Suarez. Their music is a unique combination of jazz, Latin, classical and pop rock. They met at the Luxembourg Conservatory and like to combine their multicultural roots into a sound that is global and captivating.
“Stronger” is a family story at its heart. Written by Carmen Carbonell Suarez and produced with her sister Naomi Ayé Vajdovics Suarez (finalist of LSC 2024 for Paumée sur terre), this song is a true collaboration.
“Naomi is the most important person in the world to me. We feel things the same way, we share the same emotions. She has an incredible talent.”

- MÄNA – “Human Eyes”
MÄNA has studied violin, flute and modern singing at the Regional Music School in Dundelange, Luxembourg. With her debut single “Stay”, released in 2023, she aspires to conquer the European music scene.
Human Eyes is the result of a long-term exchange between the singer and the Swedish songwriters Mattias Skantze and Robin Larsson. After being introduced during the LSC 2024 auditions, the three stayed in touch.
“I told them about my experience of a painful separation, and they were inspired to write a song in which I totally recognised myself. A few adaptations later, we finally decided together to try our luck again at the LSC 2025 auditions – this time reaching the final.”

- Rafa Ela – “No Thank You”
27-year-old Rafaela Teixeira Fernandes is the winner of “Luxembourg’s Next Popstar”, in 2016, but also of “Top Voice of Luxembourg”, in 2018. In LSC 2024, she competed with Angy as a duet, performing “Drop” , but this year the their paths diverged and they both auditioned as solo artists.
“No Thank You” emerged from a magical meeting during the LSC 2024 auditions! Rafa Ela joined forces with Swedish composers Christoffer Jonsson & Johan Jämtberg, and after an amazing trip to Sweden and tons of creative energy, this latin-pop anthem was born.
“No Thank You is a latin-pop title about women’s power and independence, with which I totally identify!”

“Ride” was born at a songwriting camp where Zero Point Five met Norwegian producer Jonas Holteberg Jensen, thanks to their friends from One Last Time. Known for their festive vibes, the band explored a pop sound while staying true to their roots.
“This camp was our first co-writing experience with an outsider, which allowed us to write a song with Zero Point Five’s identity but with Eurovision colours!”
